Montferrer i Castellbò

Made up of 31 small villages and isolated country houses, the municipality of Montferrer i Castellbò is the most extended in Alt Urgell region. Its territory, partly located in Alt Pirineu Natural Park, hosts a series of beautiful landscapes: emblematic mountain ranges, vast extensions of forests, wide range of rivers and ravines. It also comprises an important cultural heritage, such as the remains of ancient castles, monasteries, churches, as well as Romanesque and Gothic chapels. Not to mention Sant Joan de l’Erm cross-country ski resort, the very first one in Catalonia.
